Discussion object feature?

Would anyone be interested in a "Discussion object". It would be pluggable like Comments and you could attach things to it. The only thing I can imagine for now would...

Post is used in plenty of other projects and easily conflicts with this one. Post is also not very generically understood to only be 'Forum Posts'.

in prep for 1.2, this needs to be there or else 403. Would be a handy default.
