the stability issue is quite similar to earlier oled issue -- it's not "all or nothing" -- I can make it as far as creating a MCL project half way.
When I (mistakenly) connect an external power supply to the RESET pin on the MC shiled, I measure ~4v on 3.3v rail (3.3v rail not connected!) Same happens on IOREF....
