@TornjV Not directly no, the problem eventually went away with some combination of OS or driver update and I've not had it reoccur since.
+1 for this, I'd like to mimic the behaviour I'm used to in other Operating Systems (i.e most window managers in Linux, and also AltDrag in Windows) by triggering resize...
