Found out today that this also applies to Samba's log folder - ```/var/log/samba```. Although Samba will still run normally without the log folder existing, it needs to be recreated manually...

Voicing my support for this, should be easy to implement. My controller has slight drift so being able to adjust the deadzone will make it usable again.

I'm experiencing the same issue, and additionally, I don't get any notification when segments *do* get skipped.
