I am looking at noise torch code and they are doing some kind of processing on top of rnnoise. I did not understand what yet. But involves FFT.

Now that our master branch has another `noise reduction + voice detection` plugin based on libspeex I think we can close this issue.

It happens to me too https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/1733. I still can't reproduce the problem when I need to. It is super random :disappointed:

This sounds like the kind of issue linked to PipeWire's dynamic latency switching. MPD probably requests high latency like Spotify do. Once you open something else that requests low latency...
