Roundoff-error in constant (previous-value) interpolation

Since the [previous-value interpolation feature was merged](https://github.com/JuliaMath/Interpolations.jl/pull/338), I wanted to use it as a lookup function [inside another function](https://github.com/SciML/DifferentialEquations.jl/issues/805). But the community helped me discover that there was an issue...

Any chance of getting this to work on Linux Mint 20 / Ubuntu 20.04?

Very nice script. I would like to give it a try, but Ubuntu 20.04 (focal) has removed Python 2 support, and `pygtk` package is not in the [official repos](https://packages.ubuntu.com/source/bionic/pygtk) anymore....
