Also I think having virtual resourcese for app roles allows for **circular resource access configuration**, e.g. App A defines app role A1 and has required resoure access on app role...

Very same here. Running on Azure Kubernetes with K8s v1.23.5

This seems to be fixed with provider version 3.19.0 finally. The changelog doesn't mention a bigfix for this but I assume the update of the Azure SDK fixed it. Hooray!
