Just tested with a regular Bluetooth speaker with the same result. The hud doesn’t show when changing the volume through the speaker.
It is currently set to keyboard. I have also tried System and BetterDisplay (which I have installed). System also doesn't work. BetterDisplay makes the HUD not appear at all.
Is there a way to clear all settings. I tried reinstalling but I guess the settings are stored somewhere (maybe iCloud?). My installation may be a bit borked. On another...
Can confirm that two finger drag works in the latest version.
Just noticed that with the latest version on macOS 26 the hud now reliably shows when changing the volume through AirPods.
Will fix soon, the more problematic part is that the new bnd-tools setup generates an open module, which is not what I want for the library.
The new `2.0.1-SNAPSHOT` versions should fix this issue. Let me know if this is the case, then I will release a fix version.
I was only able to skim over the code, but this looks quite good to me. I'll try to do a full review soon. Thank you for tackling this problem.
Some more things I noticed: When changing the settings for unlimited history the storage needs to recomputed to accommodate the new value. Currently `loadPreviousItems()` is not called at all, so...
