Make sure to enable `Paste automatically` in the settings of Maccy. Also check in the system settings that Maccy has accessibility permissions.

Do you remember what you copied before the app became unresponsive? Given that restarting didn’t resolve it there probably was something in your database which Maccy doesn’t properly handle.
