I've been hitting this with 3.0.6, and this happens while Radicale is busy caching all the items. Once the caching is done, this doesn't happen anymore.
It's correct, I just feel it's cleaner to not rely on an external system for cleanup like this. Would a patch be accepted?
Note that CI won't work because this conflicts with a patch in our package :/
