I agree that the bad media should be fixed but IMHO exoplayer should at least report an error in bad media case.

I have the same issue. "Solutions" from #1475 do not help. The solution is just to remove the **/usr/local/lib/libcrypto.dylib** which is broken for some reason. After removing it package control...
