I have seen it happen once in debug mode also. Even when it does successfully start there appears to be at least one ngrok timeout error before we successfully startup....

Hi Matteo - yes, it does appear to be fixed. I can now edit existing active monitoring entries and add new ones without needing to have ntop running as root...

Thanks, Matteo. It was all emails coming from ntop-ng, not just some. I'm only sending emails with severity "Error" or "Emergency", but it didn't seem to matter what the error...
