I'm actually willing to have this issue be closed, but I'm interested in the rationale that lead to changing the RTS behavior.

Not to be obtuse, but again I'm pretty confident it's _not_ the same _right now_ (i.e. in 6.0.4) on Windows compared with Linux (haven't tried on Mac).
