This issue was more about having someone add that explanation and what that mode is for to the handbook ;)

Just because I need it doesn't mean I know what it is. Perhaps I am looking for a solution to a problem, but can't find the mechanism, because nobody explained...

I've just added another bridge to my setup and it's only a minor change to the config. If I find the time, I'll create a pull request.

This was not a question - well it was. But it was meant as a suggestion to rework the description in the manual to explain what to do more precisely....

IIRC this location was the one that the official NetBeans packages got installed to and probably will be after the full transition has been made.

Do you have Java / the JDK installed like the comment above yours suggested?
