Please don't read this as a rejection of the idea of co-maintainers – it's in fact the opposite! The reasoning to not immediately include the particular formulations from this PR...

I've changed the texts on Transifex.
The escaping of the quotes here does indeed seem superfluous, as the only two characters in the text tag editor field that need special handling would be newlines and `=`....
Agree, let's ignore the imported tag and go with the documented value [`stream_end`](https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag%3Awaterway%3Dstream_end).
@fabi003: Did you not get the warning message that the entered value is longer than 255 characters? It should look something like this: 
ok, I didn't think about the raw tag editor. There should be a similar indicator and warning also in those input fields.
