Sorry for the slow reply on this. We should consider/use the existing thread in https://github.com/wbond/sublime_terminal/issues/17 before making our decision.

The code looks good. I think my sticking point is if we provide `home` in the fallback listing, then we'll never get to the message state like @wbond had mentioned...

What was it that you reinstalled (e.g. the package, Sublime Text)? Also, did you open any files during reinstallation?
