At this moment, adding rectangular selection will not provide any useful functionality (such as cropping #46 ), but will be one step toward the future.
When you rotate the wheel the view zooms to where the mouse pointer is pointing. In current implementation, the behavior is the same even when there is a cross cursor...
It is likely that the fundamental UI of this app has become too complicated for users.
