ok more testing showed that it actually accepts it but it had fuel so it is incompatible and removing the fuel then inserting diesel fixes it i was confused because...

oohhh these rails look absolutely sweet

i would add the option to change the derailing speed and maybe a speed escalator since trains are slowish even compared to vanilla horses :(
