@Starefossen can you try setting `http.nonProxyHosts` (from https://docs.oracle.com/javase/8/docs/technotes/guides/net/proxies.html)? I'm not certain whether OkHTTP honors this or not, but it's worth a try.

hi @cb645j, I don't think we'd accept instrumentation in this repository without tests. You could always host it yourself and release it as an [OpenTelemetry Java agent extension](https://github.com/open-telemetry/opentelemetry-java-instrumentation/tree/main/examples/extension#extensions) for people...
