As far as I understand, that can be achieved from Rules configuration. Default ones are working out of the box, but it's not possible all cases are correctly handled.

Please first try with latest GLPI stable version; without any plugin.

This does not seems to solve the original issue; therefore I close.

Sounds a good idea to remove this specific code; I have no idea why it's been done like this originally; but it's very old code :)

I'm not sure we'll have feedback before we released a beta or RC :/
