@ssbarnea, why not use the existing way to set variables? Only thing missing would be to override stuff internally. ``` task build FOO=bar ```

Still an issue with `4.63.0`. Setting values to the defaults or `null` helps.

Yeah, to me it looks like the problem has not changed:  Let's hope Homebrew experts will find a solution once time permits
