Strange that safari wouldn't work but it sounds like you solved it? If the manager has changed IP it needs to be updated in the settings of the manager.
This should be possible to implement. Its just a matter of priority. I thinks its best of you and @cablesandcoffee sort the design out first.
Yhea, that sounds reasonable and would also help with hosting the manager as an HA addon using the ingress method instead.
