[Bug]: Cannot type normal text in Android app

Open mwhouser opened this issue 1 month ago • 6 comments

What happened?

Typing in the Android app, I can:

  • Create Headers, and
  • Create a bullet list
  • Headers save over to other clients watching the same page

But when typing normal text:

  • Hitting enter erases the line of text
  • Text does not save over to other clients watching the same page

I can see the cursors from the other editors on the screen.

I have also discovered this. I think the "hitting enter" part is the problem here, when I add text to already existing paragraphs it stays. But when I use voice input, the text gets erased. However, when I put a space before starting the voice input, it works just fine.

Also experiencing this. It makes mobile pretty much unusable for me.

Are you using the Samsung keyboard by any chance (default on Samsung devices)?

I'm using GBoard on a OnePlus 13.

I am on a Samsung S25 phone, using the default keyboard. I don't have any special keyboards installed or anything.

That's a smart trick for voice typing! I thought my Gboard app was the problem, turns out it's the Affine app.
