[Bug]: Gboard handwriting keyboard unusable

What happened?

I know that there are other gboard keyboard issues, but if the keyboard is put into handwriting mode, things seem particularly bad. If I write a page title with the keyboard, the letters type but the field does not get saved and the title still shows 'untitled. Also, typing more than a few characters is frustrating because the line will be deleted or the cursor will more to the beginning of the line and corrupt it with multiple copies of substrings from the line over and over again.

I'm using a self hosted server with new version of affine. Client is XP Pen magic notepad with Android 14.

Same here, using this on Android (Tab S9 Ultra) with the free Affine plan (10GB Cloud Plan). You can mess around with keyboard layout settings on Gboard and add a button for making text edits to relatively quick. However, this is definitely not ideal and should be fixed soon.

Yes I know the normal keyboard can be used, but I have discovered handwriting works better for my process sometimes so would like to stick to that flow. I would LOVE full handwriting support but I know that would be way down the road if ever at all.

I hope that the Affine devs understand that I am not complaining at all. Even with the glitches, Affine is the only notebooking application that has ever done what I wanted and allowed me to control the chaos of my life across multiple devices rather than forcing me into a specific methodology. I am submitting bug reports because it IS so close to perfect for me. Keep up the good work please and thank you! The UI work is amazing too.
