Tag and search languages by category

With drop down arrows for each language to expand a card on each

What sort of categories do you have in mind? I'd really love having e.g. programming languages, markup languages, DSLs, data formats.

Most of the time, I only want to look at actual programming languages, not things like Markdown or JSON, so it would be really nice to be able to filter by category.

Those are good categories. Things like "functional" or "SQL dialects" or "audio processing" or such, also. One trick is that my Stack Overflow data isn't mutually exclusive. Could have multiple tags on the same question. So I'd need to account for that when adding things up in groups, and I think that will require more details in the data.

User defined groups would be nice, but I want to avoid any web server if I can.
