This is tangential, but why do you provide a `path` that is absolute if you know about the nesting structure from your `route()` definitions? It would seem easier to embrace...
Why not make `path` relative and provide a `fullPath` or `absolutePath` property? Of course, I realize this is nitpicking your API and not addressing your problem.

The only other thing this needs is some tests to ensure we don't break this in the future and it continues to function as expected through future versions of TS.
