Thanks for the feedback. I've just released [v2.17.0](https://github.com/timche/gmail-desktop/releases/tag/v2.17.0) which fixes overriding the user agent globally. Please let me know if it works.

@floriangbh @petreikis can you please share your user agent? Apparently the [latest Google Chrome user agent](https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/the-latest-user-agent/chrome) is not working for me, but [Firefox](https://www.whatismybrowser.com/guides/the-latest-user-agent/firefox) does.
