I want to set it so that a new tab is not opened for each request

Please describe feature/problem details and solution you'd like.

Is it possible to set it so that a new tab is not opened for each request? I have looked into this a lot and couldn't figure it out.

I think it would be useful in some cases to be able to operate within the only tab that is already open, no matter which request is selected.

Describe alternatives you've considered

If such a setting is not available, I request that it become configurable.

I would also like this feature. I understand this is asking the opposite of this one, so it'd be nice to have it configurable, or make this behavior the default and the other achievable via Ctrl/Cmd + click.
