I think it's failing because build isn't complete before mocha tests start. Getting gulp to do things sequentially is less than straightforward.
Phantom is not nearly as polished for node as, ruby+capybara. Also [failing in CircleCI](https://circleci.com/gh/thom-nic/electron-demo/11) for some unknown reason. Consider [zombie.js](http://zombie.js.org) instead.
