How are you running the tests?
This is a problem now that ZAP requires Java 11, which means the Ruby script engine can no longer be used.
The dependency was updated in zaproxy/zap-extensions#6797, the templates/scripts still need to be reviewed.
It's on my todo to check but didn't get to it, will try do that today.

Whenever freezes happen please obtain a thread dump, as that allows to see where it's being slow. What were you clicking specifically? This looks like a duplicate of #5791.
