We can't reopen the pull request, I think you will have to create a new one (better if not from the main branch as it might break things more often...
It's fine to open the PR even if it will not be ready to merge because of that.
The error is currently misleading, the newer ZAP version does require Java 17.
Older versions are not available right now, we need to manually tweak that.
I just tried again and the snap package is launching/running fine. I don't even have Java installed on the system, it's using the one from the snap package. 
For the record, `core20` was giving too many problems packaging Java 17, that's why the base image was bumped (to the latest, `core24`), I didn't try with `core22` maybe it...
The new version has been released, please, make sure that it works fine for you (all).
