No I had to give up on this project because I couldn't get around this. Very sad there is non-existent support

Thanks @ccos89 for pointing out the root cause! The latest version of whisperX (v3.1.2) on PyPi was indeed deployed with this issue. You can verify that by [downloading 3.1.2 source...
