The current implemention defaults to a straight reverse proxy, which makes this a bit trickier. That said, it isn't a bad idea. I'll leave this open and have a think.

@bradfitz we're hitting this as well. I think I can work around it by disable idle connection timeout on the server, but EOF should probably be marking the connections dead....
