Cosmetic y-axis scale in training loss plots

Bug description

The scale on the log-loss plot doesn't correspond to the log loss range when plotting with all batches. Loss properly spans the range.

The scale is correct when subset to the last 5000 batches or less, but then the validation loss or log-loss are cut off.
