Turning on/off with a `Alt+Shift+D` shortcut which is available in the current version is an usable workaround.

Not in settings. It was placed directly in the `View` menu, but as I checked with the current version, it was moved to `View -> Appearance -> Descriptions of actions`.

Somehow similar to #101, but I personally also prefer this approach with a drop down list.

I don't know how easy/hard is to add this in Gnome Shell extension, but as a workaround you can just edit [`prefs.js`](https://github.com/sunwxg/gnome-shell-extension-unblank/blob/c71f417c96d2422ec00e0acaa932f0d0dc445e4b/unblank%40sun.wxg%40gmail.com/prefs.js#L59) and add required values.
