@gnufied as I mentioned, the issue could be related to the rubygems version that's shipped with ubuntu
@sickill now that I think about it, I'm confused why rubygems tries to build a native extension, since I don't see any C code in this repo...
In my use case, I'd like to be able to avoid the emoji transliteration, ie: 👑 🌴 -> `:crown: :palm_tree:`

I have tab favicons in El Capitan with 9.0.217Yosemite, however the Double Favicons on Pinned Tabs issue is somewhat annoying https://github.com/hetima/SafariStand/issues/45
@WoLewicki since you worked on [the PR](https://github.com/react-native-picker/picker/pull/456) that seems to have introduced this bug, could you take a look at this?
Android, iOS, or both? Simulator, real devices, or both? Which devices?
