1. It certainly should be possible to use it, the textarea looks fairly standard 2. Not at the moment although the EmacsWiki pages can have additional commentary.
It looks like it's triggering my overly clever dealing of hidden text areas. Give me a moment.
This doesn't fix it but at least it's obvious what the problem is. I well need to ponder the proper fix.
I've just applied a patch that allows you to force a text only genre. Would this also fix the problem you are having?
So is the use of brackets to enclose tags a part of the ID3 spec?
Hmm that does seem a little special. Does it affect Easy Tags parsing of existing tags or just writing new ones?
