I might be wrong here :) but I think a correct practice for searching for options choices in an attached dataset would be to have the 'value' in the choices...

Perhaps would be useful to flag if an integer or decimal field has no constraint specified. I don't think there are many situations where a constraint wouldn't be needed.

Check that there is an associated text field whenever 'other' is listed as a choice in a select_one or _multiple fields. Generate warning if text field doesn't exist or relevance...
