I'm open to a PR if it is easy to get Ruby 2.7 running, but ultimately we're going to need a rails upgrade if we want this project to continue....

@lrjbrual We have a PR that claims to add Ruby 2.7 support at #1508. I haven't tested it yet, but you are welcome to try it. Let me know how...

That's probably the easiest solution. We could also attempt to email you based on some heroku environment variable that may exist? Or try to use the heroku API to discover...

I see what you mean. They seem to have made this a bit more difficult than in the past. Ultimately, the airbrake gem prepares an instance of a Notice class...
