There's most certainly native code to achieve this, but I think it should be properly implemented in the underlying directory chooser. Still, if you find a way, let me know.

I previously had the issue that those lines would cause the parent window to minimize upon choosing a file. That's why they are uncommented, if I remember correctly. edit: Okay,...

I published a new version which enables this behaviour by default. Still unsure about “real” modality, but better than nothing, I guess.

Ah, I figured that might be it. Would be nice to see this in the future.
