Ctrl-C stops working after using binding.irb

I am facing this with Ruby 2.7.1 and Puma 4.3.3. After invoking `binding.irb` I am unable to kill the puma server. Any solutions or workarounds that I can try?

@hovsater I tried adding the config from your tip to my editor settings (both global and local) but it did not help. I do not see a solargraph process started...
