To be honest, I've never worked with Lumen

I haven't tested with Lara 8 but I think it should work as well

Oh, well, I see at least one issue. User model namespace has been changed in L8, it affects the middleware

I will try to solve this ASAP. Since I'm very busy at this moment it may take a while.
