@atymic - yup, same here. I would really like to understand why this issue occurs with the nginx image.

According to their docs CORS was never supported for the sdk and there is no plan to support it currently: https://github.com/bigcommerce/checkout-sdk-js/issues/1109

Generating a new stencil token and running the init command given fixed it for me.
