We could use mapscii.me for that. you can telnet into that address to get a map of the whole world in ASCII in the terminal.

@ritwik12 I need to see what parmeters can be set in mapscii.me. giving coordinates wanted and zoom level could be cool but i need to check that.

isn't there a library to do that?
