Any update on this issue? It seems like the project is not getting updated any longer...

Installing extensions with the jupyter labextension install command is now deprecated and will be removed in a future major version of JupyterLab.

Any update on this? I'm having the same problem. Using OSX Apache/PHP - not MAMP. I put the .htaccess line in and also running the CORS fix.

My color theory is obviously lacking... I tried the 5c5c5c on the demo site and got the same results. I guess my initial color just doesn't have an analogous set.
