We find this feature quite crucial for enabling extensive use of searchable snapshots, which are otherwise a great way to support "cold storage". It's a pity this one is not...

Testing on v3.0 as the slack url validation is there, we can indeed no longer "abuse" it for other similar destinations, like Mattermost :(

@lukas-vlcek thanks for merging https://github.com/Aiven-Open/prometheus-exporter-plugin-for-opensearch/pull/326 and adding BWC! I guess you still need to tag https://github.com/Aiven-Open/prometheus-exporter-plugin-for-opensearch/releases/tag/2.18.0.0 ? I raised https://github.com/Aiven-Open/prometheus-exporter-plugin-for-opensearch/pull/328 just to update the compatibility matrix too.

Thanks for the replies and input. Indeed the Alerting Dashboards plugin outputs the same error message when reaching the limit. I could have a look at it on that side...

This feature seems very interesting! `v2.17` is already out, but I guess this hasn't been implemented yet?
