You shouldn't have to outright delete them. Just disable them. Next to the mod name there is a box, just un-check it and that mod won't load in that instance....

I'd rather Fabric support over Forge to be honest @montoyo

From what I understand about Fabric is that it is much lighter and allows you to do what you please. Also if you wish to use a half decent modpack...
