I'm sure this has something to do with the method in which I'm accessing our Jira. Simple auth works with jiralib.el (org-jira) yet it cannot pull the (way to many)...

I am sure the issue is with my corp setup. auth denied log in via browser

So Jira server at my corp using SAML frontend which requires javascript to as for AD auth then RSA auth then one gets a cookie. In full featured browsers this...
