Has been working since release 0.9.5, release 0.9.6 improved performance as well. I'm on Arch. AUR still on 0.9.5. 
I installed the font system wide. I don't know how Ubuntu works, works fine on Arch.

Actually, let me reopen this. @ChugunovRoman - When making the window better, the performance is still a little bit stuttery. I don't know why, as the logs aren't spitting anything...

Appears to have an issue with mesa's libva drivers as well: `libva error: vaGetDriverNameByIndex() failed with unknown libva error, driver_name = (null)`
@insanitywanted Check the new release: https://github.com/Figma-Linux/figma-linux/releases/tag/v0.9.6 and see if performance is better, as you have an older AMD GPU, might have fixed issues for you as well.
