Is `restore_clipboard_delay` from [options](https://espanso.org/docs/configuration/options/#options-reference) any help? On Wayland, this is frequently about specifying the `keyboard_layout:` parameters correctly, however.

BTW, you might like to have a look at the [patches](https://espanso.org/docs/configuration/options/#patches) to see if any of those are active in your Ghostty session. One may have interfered with your `backend:`...
@arnevm123, with your shell script, it might be interesting to consider [UTF-8](https://espanso.org/docs/matches/extensions/#utf-8-characters) characters. Your finding suggests the problem is more Ghostty than Espanso.

How are you inserting the "á"? Bear in mind, Espanso responds to keystrokes, rather than characters. If you're using the Compose Key, it sees the "a" and the "'" typed.
